Cloud solution and customer commitment drives decision

Greenville, S.C., February 8th, 2018 –eRAD, a subsidiary of RadNet, Inc., a leading provider of standards-based, web-centric radiology image and data management solutions, announced today that Precision Imaging Centers has selected eRAD technology to achieve its business and clinical goals. The cloud-based solution includes eRAD Radiology Information System (RIS), Patient and Physician Portals, and RADAR, eRAD’s secure healthcare communication platform.

Precision Imaging Centers (PIC), operates four multi-modality imaging centers in Jacksonville, Fla., and performs between 80,000 and 90,000 procedures annually. Josh Hammond, Chief Executive Officer of PIC, said, “We are a thriving practice. So when our previous vendor sunsetted their RIS—stopped enhancements and upgrades to the product—we initiated an exhaustive search to find a new RIS. We were looking of course for the right feature set, but also for commitment. We wanted a vendor with deep roots in imaging, and that we knew would be in it for the long-haul. We found that in eRAD.”

eRAD RIS delivers the toolset PIC needs to streamline its workflow, and eRAD’s Patient and Physician Portals enable stronger, faster outreach. “Portals are key to our responsiveness with referring doctors and patients,” said Hammond. “They reduce paper inefficiencies and wait times.”

To extend that responsiveness, PIC is also implementing RADAR, which enables the practice to send HIPAA-compliant texts, instant messages, auto-calls, and emails. Patients can receive—and respond to—appointment reminders in their preferred channel. Physicians can collaborate more quickly, by sending an IM, for example, instead of going through countless rounds of voicemails.

The flexibility of eRAD’s architecture makes integration to existing PIC systems, such as its PACS, speech recognition, and billing system a straightforward part of the implementation.

Seth Koeppel, Senior Vice President of Sales for eRAD, said, “Precision Imaging was by far one of the most sophisticated and well-informed customers we’ve worked with to date. They underwent a very long and intensive evaluation of the software, and they took great effort to speak with existing users and to meet with various members of the eRAD team to understand what could be expected. We’re delighted they selected eRAD.”
